Italian Restaurant Near Miami’s Best Beaches
No visit to Miami is complete without some quality time spent on the sand, right? Whether you’re looking for a powdery avenue to stroll beside the surf or a sun-blasted strand for some hardcore tanning and lounging, you’ve got no shortage of options here—and you’ve got Mercato della Pescheria’s outstanding Italian cuisine near at hand whenever your stomach starts grumbling!
Here’s a quick rundown of at least some of the very best beaches in greater Miami, any of which make great complements to an Espanola Way meal at our beloved restaurant.
Miami Beach
Well, we’d obviously be remiss not mentioning the long and thronged beachfront of Miami Beach itself, including North Beach, Mid-Beach, and the legendary South Beach (a stone’s throw from Mercato della Pescheria on Espanola Way). It’s no stretch to call this one of the most legendary seashores in the world. Here’s a place to see and be seen while soaking up some top-grade South Florida sunshine!
85th Street Beach
This stretch of sand along Collins Avenue—devoid of the heavy development you’ll find elsewhere along the Miami oceanfront—is a fine place to take a dip (under the watchful gaze of lifeguards).
Crandon Park Beach
This is one of the most happening and developed beaches in the vicinity, set on the northeast shores of Key Biscayne. From the golf course, softball fields, and picnic grills to the illuminating Nature Center, this is a great destination for all-day sand-between-your-toes fun.
Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park
On the southern tip of Key Biscayne and completely different in character from Crandon Park, Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park presents one of the Miami area’s most celebrated beaches as well as the historical landmark of the Cape Florida Light and nature trails through strand thickets and mangrove swamps.
Virginia Key Beach
This barrier-island beach, easily reachable via the Rickenbacker Causeway, is another good choice if you’re looking to duck at least some of the crowds, and the views of the Miami cityscape across the water are mighty fine.
Drop By Mercato Della Pescheria For Fine Italian Dining on a Beachgoing Day in Miami
When you’re not taking a dip, beachcombing for seashells, or drowsing off under the old beach umbrella in the midst of that novel you’ve toted down to South Florida, bid the Miami waterfront a temporary adieu for an unforgettably delicious meal here at Mercato della Pescheria along Espanola Way! You’ll love how close to the sand and the surf our Italian eatery is…
