Vegas has plenty to choose from
Nov. 12 is National Happy Hour Day and there is certainly no shortage of Happy Hours in Las Vegas. Not only are there Happy Hours during the traditional time (late afternoon), but there are also restaurants and bars that have Happy Hours late at night and even very early in the morning.
Americana Las Vegas offers two Happy Hour options. A nightly social hour from 3 to 7 p.m. serves half-priced wine, cocktails and select menu options in the bar and lounge area. A late night ‘small bites’ menu is available daily from 8 to 10 p.m. in the bar and lounge area, serving select small bites and house red wine, white wine and champagne for $5 each.
Andre’s Bistro & Bar has Happy Hour drink specials from 3 to 6 p.m. daily. Deals include $2 off specialty, well, and wine by the glass and $1 off beer.
Baja Miguel’ Tequila Bar at South Point hotel-casino has a $3 Happy Hour from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Enjoy margaritas, shots of Cuervo and Corona beer.
Cleo at SLS Las Vegas, which showcases Chef Danny Elmaleh’s acclaimed contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, offers a Social Hour from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays. Signature offerings start at $7 and include a dip trio served with laffa bread; a selection of salads and vegetables priced at $8; flatbreads, kebabs, sausage and meats including pork belly, lamb shawarma, sliders and more for $9. Additional Social Hour offerings include $2 oysters, $4 select beers, $8 specialty cocktails, as well as $8 house red and house white wines.
Get special $9 shots of Whistlepig 12-year Rye Private Barrel Whiskey during the Happy Hour at Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge during the month of November. This 86-proof, 12-year whiskey takes American rye elements, such as boldness and character, and fuses them with the elegance of an 18-year-old Scotch. It features notes of caramel, raisins, dark chocolate and winter fruit. It’s $18 per shot during normal hours.
Echo & Rig at Tivoli village has Happy Hour on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. Specials include $3 draft beers, $4 well drinks and $5 for house, white, and red wine. While you’re there, check out the Echo Steak & Egg and Shrimp Cocktail for $1.99.
Ike’s Industry Happy Hour happens from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. and 3 to 5 a.m. daily at Ike’s inside the El Cortez. Enjoy 2-for-1 drinks including Bombay Sapphire, Bulleit Bourbon, Patron Silver, Crown Royal, Jack Daniels, Ketel One, Bacardi, Jameson and Tito’s and half off draft beer.
The Golden Tiki on Spring Mountain Road in Chinatown has some great Happy Hour drinks for $5 each. The Mai Tai is made with Eldorado 12 Year and Pyrat XO Rum, orange curacao, Gifford Orgeat and fresh lime juice. The Blue Lagoon is the bar’s version of the 1957 Blue Hawaii cocktail with Flor de Cana 4 Year Rum, blue curacao, fresh lime, pineapple and simple syrup; and the Kuku Bird which is made with Pyrat XO and Aperol with Demerara syrup and fresh pineapple juice. Draft beer is also only $3 during Happy Hour. Hours are 2 to 6 p.m. daily.
The Hard Rock Cafe on the Las Vegas Strip offers a Happy Hour from 2 to 7 p.m. every day and 9 p.m. until midnight Thursdays through Sundays. Enjoy $4 draft beers, $5 house wine and $6 call drinks.
Hash House A Go Go’s Happy Hour is from 3 to 6 p.m. every day. Specials include $3 Miller Lite, Bud Light, Coors Light, well cocktails, house Chardonnay and house Cabernet; and $5 Bucket o’ Taters (one pound of taters with choice of ranch or ghost habanero aioli); Bucket o’ Chicken (farm fried chicken w/BBQ sauce); Bucket o’ Pig (HHAGG famous pork tenderloin w/BBQ cream); Bacon, Bacon, Bacon (with brown sugar, HH seasoning and black pepper) or a Crock of Bacon Mac ‘n’ Cheese (with Applewood smoked bacon).
La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway at Wynn Las Vegas serves a Happy Afternoon’ menu featuring select wine, spirits, draft beers and small plates, available daily from 2-5 p.m. Wine and spirit selections are priced at $8 per glass and draft selections are priced ranging between $5-$11. Small plates include salmon sashimi tostada with pickled red onions, priced at $12; bacon wrapped dates with blue cheese fondue for $10 and mini burgers with chipotle mayo and mushroom duxelle, priced at $12. The Happy Afternoon menu is available in La Cave’s cellar dining room and at the high-top bars on a first-come-first served basis.
Lola’s Southern Cuisine has designated Sundays as Happy Hour Day. Enjoy Bloody Marys, brandy milk punch, Noble Coffee Floats and bottomless mimosas for $17 during brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Lucky Dragon bars and restaurants
Atrium Bar has 3 Happy Hours: 3 to 7 p.m., 9 p.m. to midnight and 4 to 10 a.m. Enjoy 50% off select small bites; 50% off all Dragon Flights and tea flights; two for $8 select beer and wine; and $8 specialty cocktails.
Bao Now has a late-night Happy Hour from 1 to 4 a.m. $5 Asian favorites, $7 soups and noodle dishes, and $9 combos.
Cha Garden’s Happy Hour happens every day from 3 to 7 p.m. Enjoy 50% off select small bites; 50% off all Dragon Flights and tea flights; two for $8 select beer and wine; and $8 specialty cocktails.
Pagoda Bar’s Happy Hours take place from 3 to 7 p.m, 9 p.m. to midnight and 4 to 10 a.m. Food and drink specials include 50% off select small bites; 50% off all Dragon Flights and tea flights; two for $8 select beer and wine; and $8 specialty cocktails.
Metro Pizza is launching a new Social Hour in early December at its Green Valley, northwest, Tropicana and locations. Social Hour specials include 5 wings for $3.75, $6 stromboli, $4 nuke fries or garlic romano fries, $5 fried mozzarella, a $2 meatball slider, $3 small salad, $7 ultr-thin margherita pizza, $2 mini cannolis, $2.50 pints of Budweiser and Coors Light, $3 pints of Blue Moon, Modelo, Brooklyn Lager, Lagunitas, Tenaya Creek and Sam Adams, and $4 for pints of Stella. Hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays at Green Valley and northwest locations and every day at other locations.
Mercato Della Pescheria inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian offers an extensive Happy Hour menu. Items include crispy calamari, bruschetta and tuna tartar along with fine wines and Italian crafted cocktails. All items are $7. Happy Hour runs from 3 to 6 p.m. daily in the bar area.
Salud Mexican Bistro and Tequileria hosts a daily Happy Hours from 4 to 6:30 p.m. . Happy Hour dishes include $5 Tapas with Grilled Mexican Corn, Molletes (Mexican Bruschetta), Nachos, Wings, Jalapeno Mac & Cheese and Guacamole, Classic Street Tacos for $7 with a choice of Pork Belly, Beef or Chicken. Drink specials include $2 off craft creations and margaritas, $3 off all tequila flights and $5 drinks, including House-Made Sangria with fresh fruit, Lemonade Mimosas of course, Traditional Margaritas.
Trevi Italian Restaurant at Forum Shops serves a Happy Hour from 2-6 p.m. and a late night Happy Hour 9 p.m.- close in the bar area. Trevi’s Classic Frozen Bellini, a refreshing blend if peach nectar, peach schnapps, Ron Diaz Run and sparkling wine is a Trevi Happy Hour favorite, price at $4. Other half-priced mixed drinks, beer and wine by the glass are available. In addition, Trevi serves $6 ‘Trevi Bites’ including Homemade meatballs with marinara and fresh basil and tomato bruschetta with garlic, tomatoes, mushrooms and shaved parmesan.
Via Brasil Steakhouse recently added items to their Happy Hour and changed their pricing. New items include scalloped potatoes, lobster mac n cheese, coconut chicken, tropical shrimp bruschetta and more. Favorites include NY steak, bacon-wrapped shrimp and mushroom risotto. Food items are 50 percent off during Happy Hour. Cocktails and wines are priced at $5.50 each and specialty cocktails are 6.50. Happy Hour is from 5 p.m. to closing Mondays through Fridays and 5 to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays in the bar/patio area.
